Kyndryl announces local Security Operations Center in Brazil

Kyndryl, an IT infrastructure services provider, has announced it is establishing a satellite Security Operations Center (SOC) for customers of all industries in Brazil.

The SOC, which will be based in Hortolândia, in the state of São Paulo, will provide support and protection for the entire cyberthreat lifecycle, using AI, specifically Machine Learning and integrated automation systems. This local SOC is integrated with Kyndryl’s global SOCs, tapping into global intelligence on threats to increase protection and accelerate incident response time.

The evolution of AI, the adoption of agile work, changing regulations and the increase in cybercrime are just some of the many issues driving companies to rethink how they secure their IT systems. In Brazil, a study by Mordor Intelligence estimated the cybersecurity market at US$3.34 billion in 2024, and is expected to reach US$5.46 billion by 2029, growing at a CAGR of 10.3% during the forecast period.

Kyndryl SOC offers combined and comprehensive management of cybersecurity threats and incident response services, which are two key elements for cyberprotection and resilience. Designed to serve the specific requirements of the Brazilian market, Kyndryl’s local SOC is a 24-hour operation that provides resources, skills and expertise in monitoring, identifying, managing and responding to cybersecurity incidents.

The SOC is underpinned by Kyndryl’s Security Operations as a Platform (SOaaP) capability. The SOaaP is a single, unified digital platform that provides a centralized view to help monitor, detect, prevent and respond to the latest cyberthreats in real-time, in a flexible delivery and collaborative approach with Kyndryl’s global partnership ecosystem.

Integrated on Kyndryl Bridge, the SOaaP enables Kyndryl to provide enhanced visibility, risk and threat management to a customer’s entire IT estate to determine the impact of any threats more quickly while also streamlining the orchestration required between IT Operations and Cybersecurity Operations.

“With this SOC in Hortolandia, Kyndryl Brazil is bringing valuable new support and protection to all our customers across Brazil, enabling them to secure their IT environments against rising cyberthreats and tap into our global intelligence on scaling threats,” said Spencer Gracias, Managing Director at Kyndryl Brazil.

The Kyndryl Brazil local SOC completes the local capabilities of Kyndryl’s Security and Resilience portfolio. It allows Brazilian customers to anticipate, protect, withstand and recover from cyber-risks through a complete portfolio: Security Assurance services, Zero Trust services, Security Operation and Response services and Incident Recovery services.
